Harley is a personal journal for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). Privacy is a core feature of the app, not an afterthought.
Harley does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Everything you log stays on your device.
Your journal stays on your device. Harley has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers of its own. All of your entries — flares, check-ins, meals, medications, cycle notes, and everything else — are stored only in the app's local storage on your device. We never see them, and they are never uploaded anywhere.
Harley's core features are free. If you choose to subscribe to Harley Plus, your purchase is handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. RevenueCat receives anonymous purchase information — an anonymous identifier and your subscription status — solely to validate and manage your subscription. This is not linked to your identity, is never used for advertising or cross-app tracking, and is entirely separate from your journal entries, which still never leave your device. If you create a doctor summary (PDF) or export your data (CSV/JSON), that file is generated on your device and shared only through the system share sheet — to wherever you choose to send it. Harley plays no part beyond creating the file at your request.
Harley includes links to crisis and patient-support resources (for example, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, the HS Foundation, and Hope for HS). Tapping a link opens it in your browser or phone app; those organizations have their own privacy practices.
You can delete everything at any time from Settings → Profile & data → Delete all data, or by removing the app. Because your data lives only on your device, deleting it is immediate and complete.
Harley is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.
